Malacca (Melaka) is one of Malaysia's most fascinating cities — and most people drive straight past it on the way to somewhere else. Just two hours from Kuala Lumpur, this UNESCO World Heritage city is where Malaysian culture as we know it was born: Peranakan Nyonya cuisine, Dutch colonial architecture, Portuguese heritage, and some of the most layered food history in Southeast Asia — all within walking distance of each other. In this video we explore the streets, the history, and of course the food — from Baba Nyonya dishes that have been passed down for generations to hidden local spots that most visitors never find. This is not a highlights reel. This is Malacca at its own pace — slow, beautiful, and worth every minute. We hope this video inspires you to visit, or gives you a little escape from the day-to-day. Either way, we're glad you're here. Leave us a comment — we read every single one. Vero + Li 🌏
