A quick weekend escape to the City of Pines! 🌲 Sometimes, all you need is to slow down, breathe in some cold mountain air, enjoy good food, and spend quality time with the people who matter. This time, we headed to Baguio City, a mountain destination in northern Luzon known for its cool climate, pine trees, scenic views, and rich cultural heritage. Originally a settlement of the Ibaloi people, Baguio was developed as a hill station during the American colonial period in the early 1900s. It was officially established as a chartered city in 1909 and has since become one of the country's favorite destinations for a quick escape from the heat and busy pace of city life. For this trip, there were no big plans or packed itineraries—just good food, familiar company, little adventures, and the simple joy of being somewhere cold for a change. A reminder that sometimes, we don't need a long vacation to recharge. A quick weekend getaway and a little time away from our usual routines can be enough.
