Where is the centre of the universe? And where did the Big Bang actually happen?
For thousands of years, humans believed we were at the centre: first Earth, then the Sun, then our own Milky Way galaxy.
But every time we thought we had found the centre of the universe… it moved further away.
In this video, we follow a search that took nearly 2,000 years, from Ptolemy, Aryabhata and Copernicus to Edwin Hubble and the James Webb Space Telescope, to answer one simple question: where is the centre of everything?
The answer is so strange that it will change how you see your own place in the cosmos.
🔭 In this video:
• Is Earth the centre of the universe?
• Where did the Big Bang happen?
• Does the universe have an edge?
• The Cosmic Microwave Background, the oldest light in the universe
• What an expanding universe really means
