Payday in Japan. I took a paid day off. Today, I'm going to treat myself.
First, I took out money at the bank. Then, ramen.
On my day off, I went to Ichiran, the ramen shop that always has a line. The counter has partitions (solo booths), so it feels like a private room. I can eat slowly, and I love that. I had the standard tonkotsu ramen with a soft-boiled egg: about 1,100-1,200 yen (about $7-8).
After that, I went to a Japanese-style cafe for a matcha drink and ohagi (sweet rice cakes with red bean paste). About 1,200 yen (about $7.60) for both.
Today's treat: about 2,400 yen in total (about $15).
Work is tough, and relationships with people are complicated. But after eating something delicious, I'll do my best again.
Hi, I'm Teto. I live in Japan. I work from home. I'm an introvert, so I have no friends. And no drama either. Just boring days where nothing really happens. Cheap, tasty food and small joys.
