Meet the new 2027 Pivot [Q] Series. The Pivot has always been built as a true do-it-all kite – and the 2027 Pivot [Q] Series brings together everything we’ve been working on over the previous years into one do-it-all performance package. From wave riding and foiling to freeride and big air, the Pivot is solid in the sky, super intuitive, drifts well and drives fast forward. Kite designer Ewan Jaspan talks us through what’s new for 2027. Code 95P trailing edge – a stiffer, slightly heavier material that lasts a lot longer. Using a single ply instead of traditional two-ply trailing edge construction saves weight through the canopy. *Blended leading edge construction – a lighter Dacron in the struts and wing tips allows the kite to twist when steering and gives light bar pressure, while DKC 160 Dacron through the main part of the leading edge holds the frame super rigid in the sky. *Refined paneling – the paneling has been fine-tuned this year. *Quad-Tex canopy – the mix of weight, performance, stiffness and longevity of Quad-Tex is unmatched on the market. *SK99 bridle lines – stiff and low elongation, helping the bridles cut through the air nicely. *High- and low-wind bridle settings – the high-wind setting helps the kite shoot further forward in the window and gives more depower. The low-wind setting helps the kite sit deeper and gives more drift. The low-wind setting is preferable for foiling and wave riding, especially in onshore conditions. The high-wind setting is better when overpowered or riding waves in offshore conditions, and also helps the kite recover quicker from kite loops. *Q-Series construction – includes bumpers, TPU strut covers, strut bumpers, Swift Tips, blended leading edge construction and SK99 bridle lines.
