WATCH: King Charles Receives Royal Welcome in Guyana

King Charles III arrives in Guyana for a historic two-day State Visit, returning to the South American nation for the first time in 26 years. The King last visited Guyana in February 2000, when he was Prince of Wales. Now, he returns as monarch for a visit marking 60 years of diplomatic relations between Guyana and the United Kingdom. Charles is expected to be formally welcomed by President Dr Mohamed Irfaan Ali before attending a State Reception at State House in Georgetown. During his visit, the King will meet community representatives, Indigenous leaders, young people and environmental campaigners, with a particular focus on biodiversity, conservation and strengthening ties between the two countries. The visit follows a busy two days in the Bahamas, where Charles joined colourful Junkanoo celebrations, met young boxers and attended a series of ceremonial engagements. The King's nine-day Caribbean tour concludes in Antigua and Barbuda, where Queen Camilla will join him for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM). ♛ Subscribe to our YouTube channel (tap the bell icon and stay up to date with all the latest Royal videos!) - https://bit.ly/3jNBYZ7 ♛ Find us on TikTok   / royalfamilychannel   ♛ Follow us on Facebook -   / royalfamilychannel   ♛ Tweet with us! -   / royalfamilyitnp
