Little Moments in Okinawa — Day 5 & 6. Our final two days in Okinawa didn't quite go as planned. We started Day 5 with a beautiful morning at The Beach Tower Okinawa, enjoying breakfast on the terrace with a view of American Village. But Anna wasn't feeling well and didn't have much of an appetite. After giving her some medicine and letting her rest, she seemed to feel a little better, so we headed out to Umikaji Terrace. We walked around the stylish shops and cafés, watched planes flying close by from Naha Airport, and enjoyed a coffee by the sea. But with Anna still not feeling her best, we decided to change our plans. We contacted our next hotel and arranged an early check-in at Toyoko Inn near Omoromachi Station. Instead of spending the day sightseeing, we decided to slow down and spend the rest of the day at the hotel. Sometimes, a family trip doesn't go exactly as planned. And that's okay. We picked up some lunch, got some laundry done, and enjoyed a quiet afternoon together. There was even unlimited Orion Beer at the hotel, which made for a pretty relaxing hotel stay. On Day 6, Anna was feeling much better. It was time to head home. We returned the rental car and made our way to Naha Airport, where our flight was delayed by an hour before we finally boarded. After about two hours in the air, we arrived back in Tokyo. And just like that, our five-night, six-day trip to Okinawa came to an end. We tried so many different foods, explored so many places, and made so many memories along the way. There were a few unexpected moments, too. But I'm sure that, with time, even those moments will become good memories. Anna probably won't remember most of this trip. But it's all here, captured in this film. Maybe one day, she'll watch this back and see what life was like when she was little. Until then, we'll keep making memories together.
