I feel like my first ride on the Zendit didnt really give me a good idea how capable the bike was because I had the shock locked out on 6 out of 7 trails. Once I opened the shock I absolutely loved it but than I re injured my foot on a drop and had to cut the ride short.
I wanted to take it to Aliso since these are my home trails and I know them so well. I had pretty high expectations but honestly I was blown away. Going down Lynx I was still riding pretty conservative and wasn't pushing the bike at all but each lap I started to get more comfortable and let off the brakes more. I was completely blown away at how stable this bike is. There were so many sections where I expected to lose my rear tire but this bike held on the line and it just blew my mind. I started to trust the bike more and more each lap. Once I get more familiar with the Zendit and just let it eat the way it wants to I can't imagine how much Im going to love it.
I also turned down power on the motor. Since I am used to my Shimano EP8 I turned my Avinox to match my Shimano. I turned the motor down on "Auto Mode" to only 80 NM and 600 Watts max. I left it on Auto all day and loved it. The bike is so smooth and quiet. To top it off the motor is also so efficient. This was a big ride we hit 5 trails made some big climbs (up 5 Oaks twice, up Cholla twice and up Mathis to TOW) the total ride was 18.5 Miles and 3,215 ft of elevation gain. At the end of the ride I still had 57% Battery and that was with pushing Kasey up the last 2 climbs. Based on these numbers I should be able to get in over 50 miles and 7,000 ft of elevation gain with a full battery which is mind blowing.
