A real-time recording of a complete perm at a salon in Stuttgart, Germany – lightly shortened but otherwise unscripted, following the whole session from the first shampoo to the finished curls. Jalila's long hair is shampooed at the backwash basin, towel-dried and combed out, then sectioned and wound onto perm rods all over the head before the perm lotion is applied rod by rod. She processes under a classic hood dryer, the lotion is rinsed out at the basin, and the neutralizer is worked into every rod before the rods are taken out.
