"DID GOD ACTUALLY SAY THAT?"

Scripture passages for this Sermon of 8/2/26 Genesis 3:1-6 Matthew 4:1-11 Matthew 16:21-23 We are all in a spiritual battle. Our true enemy is not people but Satan, who seeks to deceive us by questioning and twisting God's truth. If we don't know God's Word, we cannot recognize his lies or stand against them. From the Garden of Eden to Jesus' temptation in the wilderness, Satan's strategy has never changed: "Did God actually say?" Jesus overcame every temptation by responding, "It is written," showing us that victory comes through knowing and obeying God's Word. When we are rooted in Scripture, we can discern truth from deception, stand firm in our faith, and remember that the battle is spiritual—not against flesh and blood, but against the enemy who opposes God's purposes.
