Our visit to Shillingstone Station offered a glimpse into a heritage railway being lovingly brought back to life by volunteers. The station itself is free to explore and has a lovely rural setting, with the added bonus of passenger train rides now being introduced. Before you plan your trip, here are the key details you need to know: Opening Hours: The station is open on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Admission: Entry to the station is free. You only pay if you choose to ride on the train or purchase items from the cafe or shop. Location: The station is located off the A357 in Shillingstone, near Blandford Forum, Dorset (DT11 0SA). Parking: If you are driving, please use the Riverside car park located close to the North Dorset Trailway, rather than parking at the station itself. There is accessible parking for disabled visitors at the station
