There is a kind of solitude that is never quiet.
You may be surrounded by people, voices, movement, and the ordinary noise of life, yet feel entirely unreachable; as though something inside you were speaking at unbearable volume while, outside, nothing had changed.
“Too Loud a Solitude” inhabits that contradiction. Inspired by the world of Bohumil Hrabal’s novel and the emotional force of Edvard Munch’s The Scream, this one-hour Persian jazz fusion mix moves through a landscape where silence is crowded, beauty survives among ruins, and the mind becomes filled with voices it can no longer put down.
Hrabal’s solitary worker spends his life among books destined to be destroyed; crushing them even as their words take refuge inside him. Munch gives another form to a similar terror; the moment when an inner cry seems to pass through the body and into the world around it.
The music moves between those two images. At times sparse and almost motionless; at others tense, dark, and overwhelmed. Silence gradually gathers weight. Noise begins to feel like isolation. And what the world discards continues, somehow, to live inside the person who has witnessed it.
This is music for the loneliness that does not come from being alone; but from carrying more than can be said, while the world keeps moving.
