Corey Pemberton, 2021 Visiting Artist Series Lecture

Former Studio Assistant Corey Pemberton returned to the Perry Glass Studio this summer. Hear Pemberton discuss his practice and more in this lecture. Corey Pemberton first came to the Perry Glass Studio in 2012 as a Studio Assistant. In that same year, he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University. He has completed residencies at The Pittsburgh Glass Center, Bruket, and a core fellowship at the Penland School of Craft. The Reston, Virginia native lives in Los Angeles, where he splits his time between the arts nonprofit Crafting the Future, production glass blowing, and his painting practice. Pemberton strives to bring together people of all backgrounds and identities, breaking down stereotypes and building bridges, not only through his work with Crafting The Future but with his personal artistic practice as well.
