The fall harvest continues out Past The Oaks. 🌲 Part 1 ended with the tree finally hitting the ground. Now the real work begins. Today is all about turning fallen timber into something we can actually build with — clearing limbs, cutting the trunks down to the right lengths, hauling logs back toward camp, cleaning up brush, feeding the fire, and getting everything over to the debarking station. Little by little, these trees are starting to look less like fallen timber and more like cabin walls. There’s still plenty of cutting, hauling and drawknife work ahead, but the pile of usable material is finally starting to grow. This is the part of the build that doesn’t happen overnight. One tree. One log. One wall at a time. Past the oaks, into the pines. 🌲 If you keep watching, I’ll keep working.
