Goodwill Thrift Haul + Local DC Finds | Intentional Living & Spending

We started at Black & Forth, a Black-owned farmers market at The Spice Suite, where we explored local vendors, picked up some mini pies from a Black-owned bakery, and left incredibly inspired by what can happen when business and community-building come together. Then we went thrifting—and we FOUND SOME THINGS. 😂 As we're thinking more intentionally about our budget and sustainable living, secondhand shopping is beginning to make a lot of sense for us. We're also preparing to spend more time traveling between DC and Tennessee, so I'm building a small wardrobe to leave at my mom's house instead of constantly packing and hauling clothes back and forth. Of course, I saved the Goodwill thrift haul for the end of the video! We also stumbled across a neighborhood restaurant and decided to try something we'd never had before: house-smoked candy salmon. The wings didn't make the cut 😂, but that salmon absolutely did. More than anything, this was just a really good Sabbath day together—and another opportunity for us to think about what living intentionally actually looks like in everyday life. We're learning that it isn't simply about spending less. It's about being more thoughtful about what we buy, where we buy it, what we support, and whether our choices align with the life we're trying to build.
