Better add, check back element doesn't protrude too much at infinity, mind those pins Before starting do some extra research and get your head around the scale movement. Once that's out of the way I personally think 😁 before loosening the grub screws choose the bump stop that suits your adjustment direction. This way you kinda know where the inner focus barrel "is". So if you want more focus towards distance ( infinity ) bump to infinity, loosen and move focus sleeve towards the 10ft 3M mark then tighten the grub screws incrementally. To check focus use a tape measure to the focal plane of the camera. A small circle with a line through indexing the sensor or film plane. Use a good screw driver and don't over tighten. All good fun.
