Brent Cobb on Red Barn Radio!

Brent comes from a city that birthed music icons Otis Redding, James Brown, and Little Richard. Let’s add a few more to the list: Bill Berry and Mike Mills (known as the rhythm section for supergroup REM) also once called Macon, Georgia home. Out of this great city in Georgia also emerged the Legendary Capricorn Studio and Record label, which drew artists from Elvin Bishop to Marshall Tucker and Delbert McLinton. The arrival of The Allman Brothers to Capricorn set in motion what many would call the Southern Rock movement. This rich tapestry of sound created by such diverse artists impacted Brent Cobb as he grew into creating music of his own. Brent has arrived at a place he likes to call “Southern Eclectic”, a term he feels best defines the set of story songs on his newest album, called Southern Star.
