Spirit Halloween 2019: Post Road Warwick, RI - Opening Week

Recorded on Friday, August 9th, 2019: Hello everyone! It is that wonderful time of year once again, where Spirit Halloween stores across the country are beginning to open! It has been an interesting season so far. I am so happy to be able to say that I work at Spirit now! I've been doing some set up at a couple stores and it certainly has been an experience. Things definitely feel a bit different this year for me, but also the same in a way. Wishing everyone else who has applied the best of luck! :) As for even more current events, one of my local Spirit Halloween stores just opened yesterday, and I got to check it out today! This is the store on Post Road in Warwick, RI. Such a great location. Once again the staff was able to make the store look awesome given its limitations from the downsize a few years ago. The S.S. Rip Tide (front display) was set up, but there was none of Reapers Wharf (back display) due to the size. Nevertheless, still really cool to see a store set up and open! Post Road had quite a few props set up, such as Towering Clown, Hugz, Tortured Torso, Cocooned Corpse, and Burlap Horror as a fill in. But of course, they did not have everything, for it is really early in the season, and because they don't have both displays. I was worried that my experience setting up these displays would ruin the “magic” of opening day for me, but I was wrong! It was still just as cool and exciting. I love the displays and overall theme this year! It was cool to start off the season with a small store, that’ll make it even more interesting to see the others when they open. This season has been off to a really good start so far. I’m super excited, can’t wait to see what comes next!
