Syllables Consonant Blends Vowels

Normally we do not separate a consonant blend like bl, cl, cr, etc when we divide the word into syllables. But in the word (problem), we separate the blend (bl) because the vowel (o) is a short vowel. When there is a short vowel, you have to close the syllable with a consonant, so it is prob/lem.
