You can read an English sentence calmly, look at a difficult word for as long as you like, and go back to the start whenever you want. A voice gives you none of that. In this episode Emily compares reading and listening honestly - the speed, the missing spaces between words, the swallowed little words, the moment one unknown word makes you fall three sentences behind - and explains why your listening isn't weak, it's just working under much harder conditions.
What you will take away:
Listening doesn't rewind and it moves at someone else's speed, so understanding everything was never the target. The real skill is staying with the voice while parts of it go past you unfinished.
What you practise in English:
Real-time listening at natural speed, and the habit of letting a missed word go instead of chasing it. You practise following the shape of what someone says when you only catch about seventy percent of it.

Listen all the way to the end, even if you lose a few words on the way. Coming back to the same episode a second time is where most of the progress happens.
