Kishori Amonkar, Live Concert @ Vadodara, 1987. Raga(s) Bhimpalas and Yaman, Kabir's composition

The prima donna of her era, back to action. A scintillating concert held in Vadodara. ('Spirit of Freedom' concert, 1987.) Tai, as she is fondly called, commences with a nice hour long Bhimpalasi. After an interval (possibly), she enters into the Yaman cottage. Her leisurely unfolding of the Raga is simply heartening. The Gaansaraswati, thereafter changes the countors and launches into a Kabir's composition. An element of Abhinaya in her 'Mai Kaise Aavungi, Sawariya' is distinctly visible. (She even reprimands someone from the audience / organisers for creating some sort of disturbance.)
