A late-summer aerial journey over Walpole Park in Ealing, West London, filmed in August 2026.
From above, the park takes on a completely different character — broad lawns faded gold by the summer weather, mature trees beginning to show the first hints of autumn, quiet pathways and wide views stretching across Ealing and the West London skyline.
Walpole Park lies in the heart of Ealing beside Pitzhanger Manor, the former country home of celebrated architect Sir John Soane. The park formed part of the historic Pitzhanger estate, with its Regency landscape shaped for Soane in the early 19th century. After the estate was acquired by the local council, Walpole Park opened to the public in 1901 and has remained one of Ealing's best-known green spaces ever since.
This flight captures the park on a bright August afternoon, looking across its great canopy of trees towards the surrounding neighbourhoods and the increasingly varied skyline of modern West London.
It is a view of Ealing where old and new sit side by side — a historic landscape of trees and open space surrounded by a part of London that continues to change and grow.
