Yama I Love You Odia Comedy Movie is a fantasy comedy short film that blends mythology, humor, and human emotions in a unique and entertaining story. Synopsis : This Odia comedy short movie revolves around both mythical characters and human characters. The story features divine personalities from Swarga Loka such as Brahma Dev, Indra Dev, Yama Dev, Chitragupta, and Devarshi Narada. The story begins in Indra Puri of Swarga Loka, where Indra Dev feels bored and disturbed by the repetitive classical dance performances of Menaka, Rambha, and Urvashi. When Yama Dev visits Indra Puri, he also agrees that the entertainment in heaven has become monotonous. Curious to find a solution, Yama asks his wise secretary Chitragupta about how to bring something new and exciting to Swarga Loka. Chitragupta reveals an unusual plan based on events happening in Martyapura (Earth). On Earth, there is a famous but immoral comedy film director named Nandu, who has committed many sins by exploiting girls, neglecting his wife, and living a life full of drinking and wrongdoing. Chitragupta predicts that Nandu will soon die, and once he arrives in Yama Puri, he can be sent back to Earth with a mission. Soon, the inevitable happens. Nandu dies after heavy drinking and reaches Yama Puri. There he is given two choices by Yama Raj: 1️⃣ Arrange beautiful dancers on Earth to entertain the gods of Swarga Loka. 2️⃣ Face severe punishment in Yama Puri. Fearful of punishment, Nandu chooses to take rebirth and happily agrees to arrange dancers for divine entertainment. Excited by the idea, Yama Raj, Indra Dev, Narada, and Chitragupta decide to visit Earth themselves to experience this new entertainment. Nandu then suggests making a movie on Earth where Yama Raj himself becomes the hero and a beautiful dancer becomes the heroine. During the film shooting, the heroine performs romantic scenes with Yama and eventually falls deeply in love with him, repeatedly expressing her feelings by saying “Yama I Love You.” Yama Raj feels delighted and amused by this new experience. However, during the shooting, Yama Raj accidentally breaks his leg, creating an opportunity for Nandu to return to his old sinful habits. He begins drinking again and tries to flirt with the heroine. But the heroine refuses him because she has developed genuine affection for Yama Raj. Enraged by rejection, Nandu commits a terrible crime and strangles the heroine to death, then escapes into hiding. With great difficulty, Yama Raj, Chitragupta, Indra Dev, and Narada track him down and capture him. Furious at his wicked behavior, Yama Raj declares Nandu dead once again. At this crucial moment, Brahma Dev descends to Earth and scolds the divine beings, reminding them that their actions as Devatas were misguided and inappropriate. The story concludes with a sad and thought-provoking ending. ✨ Moral of the Story: “To err is human.” Humans may commit mistakes, but such actions are not expected from the divine beings of heaven. This fantasy comedy short film combines mythology, satire, romance, and moral lessons, making Yama I Love You an unusual and memorable Odia comedy story.
