THE SINDHI LANGUAGE IN ROMAN SCRIPT Before learning The Sindhi Language Let’s have a broad overview There are fifty-two letters in the Sindhi Alphabet script based on the writing of the language. The Sindhi Phonetic Alphabet has 520 sounds. In other words, each letter of the language alphabet carries 10 different sounds in the Sindhi Phonetic Alphabet. So, in this way 52 Alphabetical letters get multiplied by 10: (52 X 10) 520 The total sounds in the Sindhi Phonetics are 520. That is the reason, the Sindhi person can speak and understand the other languages of the World so quickly and correctly because it carries almost sounds of other languages. The other languages of the world may not have the Alphabetical Letters and the sounds of the Phonetics as compared to that the Sindhi Language. Converting the alphabet, the Alphabet of language and the Alphabet of phonetics, how could that have been difficult for one can understand?! I have tried my best to write down the same, the nearest or merged two or more sounds of the English language to convert and represent the Sindhi language in Roman Script. Now, let’s learn the Sindhi LANGUAGE ALPHABET based on the written script and the PHONETIC ALPHABET based on sounds in Roman Script.
