Maine Coon Kittens development stages between 3 and 4 weeks old. French Pastry themed litter.

During weeks three and four, these tiny mostly dependent Maine Coon newborns start transforming into urous little kittens. Their eiyes are opeing, their ears are becoming more responsive theyare learning to walk, discovering tgheir siblings and suddenl, their world becoes a whole lot bigger! ANt that is whtm at around three weeks of age we move them out of their birthing boxand into a slightl larger, safe enclosure. WEEK 3 - THE WORLD STARTS OPENNG UP At around three weeks old the kittens are becoming much more aware of what is happenig arounnd them. Their eyes are now open or beginning to open although their vision is still developing. ANd those beautiful blue kittten eyes are not necessarily going to stay blue. Their adult eye colour develops later. Their ears are also starting to fufld and become much more functioal so they are beginnig to respond to sounds arounnd them. You will notie somethig else at this age... WALKING! Well... I use the word walking wuite generously! At three weeks, their movemtns can still be very wobbly. They may stumble, wlbble sidewaysm or duddenly topple over. But every day they beome a littel more coordinated. Their legs are getting stronger, their blance is improving, and tghey are beginnig to explore their surroundings instead of simply sleeping and nursing. INTRODUCING THE LITTER BOX Another exciting milestone around this age is the introduction of a shallow litter tray. Some kittens catch on quikly, while others seem to think the litter tray is a wonderful place to play, dig and throw litter everywhere! We also provide fresh water and appropriate kitten food in their enclosure so they can start becoming familiar with thee resources. WEEK 4 Week four is an important time because we can begin itroducing kittens to wet kitten food. This is not about suddenly taking the away from Mum. It is about lettingthem explore food and learn how to eat independently. So, from week three to week four, we go from tgin newbors who mostlyeat and sleep... to curious little Maine Coons kittenswho are walking playing, exploring, learning to use a litter box and beginning their journey towards independence. There is so much happening duriing these twwo weeks, and every day brings a new milestone.
