RULES OF ALYSH

ALYSH – national belt wrestling (Kyrgyz Republic) Composition of the teams –14 people: 12 athletes (6 men and 6 women), 2 coaches. Athletes older than 18 are allowed to take part in the competitions. The competitions are held among men in the classic style and women in the free styles. In all weight categories a maximum of 1 athlete is allowed from each participating country. Weight categories: among men (classic style): up to 60 kg, up to 70 kg., up to 80 kg, up to 90 kg, up to 100 kg, +100 kg; among women (free style): up to 55 kg, up to 60 kg, up to 65 kg, up to 70 kg, up to 75 kg, +75 kg. Competitions are held under the current rules of the World Alysh Federation. The winner among men in the +100 kg weight category gets the right to take part in the Great Nomad Wrestling.
