Hair Rigs can be a Life Saver 😊 Simon with the help of Aurora at ‪@seesound4009‬ in Barcelona talks through the steps involved to get a mic rigged in the hair, the kit required & where it sounds best! Knowing the technique is good but always consult with the Hair & Makeup Department and allow them to do the hair rig! The sound you can get from a well placed hair rig has some great advantages over body worn mic placements, firstly it will always follow the head turns, the hair provides a natural wind protection and the overall sound can be more natural, scratch free and easier to mix with the sound of a boom.
