Date: 6/19/19 Location: C J Auto Sales, Pine Island Minnesota Temp: 70°F Signal: 3 minute alert Units Heard: Federal Signal 2T22 (main unit) - 350ft While I said the Farmington 2001-DC would probably be the only siren I filmed for June, I decided to head out to this 2T22 for the bi-monthly test of sirens in Pine Island today after having blood tests done in Rochester. For the first time in just over 6 months, Nate Fox joined me at this test. Long time no see!! This 2T22 proved to be quite the little noise maker; it was definitely louder than the last one in Fall Creek. I hope to be returning to Olmsted County a few more times over the summer and getting some of their other sirens, but with their strict weather policy, it can get a little difficult. On a side note, this is the first video I've edited using Vegas Pro instead of iMovie. What do you guys think of it? Is it better or worse than my past videos? Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video. Sirens in the City of Pine Island are tested on the first and third Wednesday of every month at 10AM April-September, weather permitting. From October-March, they are tested on only the first Wednesday for a shortened 1 minute test.
