Calling My Free-Range Pigs from Deep Forest & Guiding Them to Our New Farm

Calling My Free-Range Pigs from Deep Forest & Guiding Them to Our New Farm Raising free-range pigs on an off-grid mountain homestead gives them a natural life, but gathering them from the wilderness & moving them requires patience & clever mountain skills. Today, as afternoon faded, I hiked deep into the shadowy bamboo ridges where our herd had wandered to forage. Calling out across the quiet ravines & tapping a bucket filled with warm aromatic mash, I drew our black pigs out from the thickets, happily trotting in a disciplined line as I guided them down the slopes straight to their spacious new farm pens. Later in the week, I dedicated long hours to processing & restoring the structural components of an antique timber house frame, meticulously chiseling away weathered exterior layers & recutting traditional joinery to prepare the beams for raising our new homestead dwelling. To complete a rewarding week on Golden Ridge Farm, I harvested ripe garden vegetables from our hillside plots & hiked down to the mountain market to sell our fresh greens to neighboring villagers.
