TRIP that Ended in BOAT DISASTER!

I am Solo and have traveled more than 100km's North of Cooktown to a remote boat ramp at Starke in Far North Queensland Australia at the beginning of Cape York Peninsula, the plan is to take my boat 30km's OFFSHORE for a day of Spear Fishing on Wanning Reef on the Great Barrier Reef hunting tasty fish to put in my freezer, I then discover upon leaving the reef that my boat structure has Failed! I have to get to an island close by to inspect the damage because I am unable to get back into the Starke river boat ramp due to the tide height restrictions, this is starting to feel like that I will become an island castaway.
