Mad Collector's 1920s Fairground Game Sparks £420 Bidding War

Five dealers. Four remarkable finds. One wild bidding day in the Yorkshire hills. When a self-proclaimed mad collector wheels in a vibrant French fairground passé boule, a modest valuation suddenly looks very small. From hand-signwritten showman style that screams Brighton Pier to a late 19th-century Chinese gentleman’s desk set with dragon pen rests, every item comes with a story. A Tri-ang Monte Carlo pedal car rolls in with original tyres and headlight battery box bones, splitting the room between restoration dreams and... a very pricey plant pot. And a Victorian Watchman’s Telltale from the Thames Manufacturing Co. opens to reveal its leather-clad secrets and a last ticker tape that stuns the table. Who pushes past the guidance to land the deal? Which dealer buys with their heart, not their head? And how far will sellers like Ivan, Hayley, Henry, Leon and Molly go to get the price they want? Watch to see the turning points, the surprises, and the final hammer moments you won’t predict. Catch the full episode to see every bid, bluff and breakthrough. #TheBiddingRoom #antiques #vintagefinds #fairground #collectibles #pedalcar #Chineseart #Victorian
