LYRICS After this I looked, and a door stood open in the sky And the voice just like a trumpet said, "Come up here, come up high And I'll show you what must happen," and at once I'm in the Spirit's place And a throne is set in heaven, and there's Someone on it, full of grace He was shining like a jasper, glowing red like carnelian stone And I couldn't look away from the One upon the throne At the throne (at the throne) Someone's seated and He reigns Heaven never had an empty chair And it never will (never will) At the throne (at the throne) When the world is shaking down below I lift my eyes, I lift my eyes To the throne Round the throne there was a rainbow, like an emerald, glowing green Twenty-four more thrones around it, with the elders robed and clean All in white with golden crowns, and from the throne came rolling out Lightning cracking, thunder rumbling, and voices louder than a shout Seven lamps of fire were burning, the seven Spirits of the Lord And before the throne a sea of glass, like crystal, spreading broad At the throne (at the throne) Someone's seated and He reigns Heaven never had an empty chair And it never will (never will) At the throne (at the throne) When the world is shaking down below I lift my eyes, I lift my eyes To the throne Four living creatures full of eyes, in front and all behind One was like a lion, one an ox, one with a face like humankind And one was like an eagle flying, six wings on every one And they never stop, they never rest from singing to the Holy One Every elder, every creature, every crown and every flame Every inch of heaven's turning toward the glory of His name At the throne (at the throne) Someone's seated and He reigns Heaven never had an empty chair And it never will (never will) At the throne (at the throne) When the world is shaking down below I lift my eyes, I lift my eyes To the throne Lift your eyes (lift your eyes) Higher still (higher still) Over the noise and over the news There's a throne and a holy will So when the headlines start to rattle and the market's going down When the doctor's voice gets quiet and my faith is on the ground I remember that open door, and the view that John was shown Every throne down here is borrowed, but there's only one true throne Kingdoms rise and kingdoms crumble, and the weather comes and goes But the One who sits in heaven is the One who always knows At the throne (at the throne) Someone's seated and He reigns Heaven never had an empty chair And it never will (never will) At the throne (at the throne) When the world is shaking down below I lift my eyes, I lift my eyes To the throne Lion and the ox, the man, the eagle Every creature made by Him Every elder, every angel Every heart is turning in At the throne (at the throne) Someone's seated and He reigns Heaven never had an empty chair And it never will (never will) At the throne (at the throne) When the world is shaking down below I lift my eyes, I lift my eyes To the throne Come up here (come up here) Come up here (come up here) Lift your eyes to the throne #Praisely #ChristianJazz #GospelJazz #Worship #BookOfRevelation #ChristianMusic #LyricVideo #AllThingsNew
