Mushroom Kingdom Meltdown Reloaded Original Soundtrack

Music composed by Moose (‪@MooseSMW‬) Release date: ??/??/2015 Download SPC-Set: https://www.mekacheck.com Originally released in 2009, the Super Mario World-romhack "Mushroom Kingdom Meltdown" by cyphermur9t (‪@cyphermur9t‬) was praised for it's creativity, but not neccessarily for the heavy slowdown issues caused by the old BlockTool. To adress this, cyphermur9t started working on a remake in the mid-2012. The goal was to get rid of the slowdown, improve the gameplay, update some visuals and of course... the music! Moose offered to help with the music and over the course of that year, he composed 12 original tracks specifically for "Mushroom Kingdom Meltdown Reloaded" (also called "Mushroom Kingdom Meltdown Revamped" on occasion) ; however, the project was cancelled in January 2013. A bugfix for the original 2009 version was eventually released in 2022, though it did not include the new music. Still, Moose did submit his compositions to SMW Central's custom music section in 2015, so they're available and you might've heard some of the tracks in other hacks. When it comes to the music presented here, it's safe to say that Moose made sure to "cover all the bases" as there's a bit of everything you'd expect in a soundtrack for a Mario-romhack. Starting with Moose's "trademark" Kirby-inspired grassland tunes, there's also a moody, melancholic underwater theme, an epic castle theme, a fastpaced boss theme... just to name a few! And while there's no "definitive" main theme, various motifs recur throughout the tracks. Now, let's-a press play to... melt down the kingdom?!?
