You can edit any DICOM data using functions from four tabs in the side panel, which appears when a dataset is loaded. Open the Color tab to adjust transparency and assign colors to specific Hounsfield Units, using the transfer function. Hounsfield Units, or HU, allow you to filter DICOM data based on radiodensity. To add a new color pin, click anywhere within the graph or select Add to place a pin in the middle. Move the pins vertically – to adjust transparency, or horizontally to assign colors to specific HU values. Use the color picker to change its color, or select Delete to remove it. In the Tissue Filter section drag the pins along the slider to set the visible HU range. To move the entire range without changing its width, drag the selected area along the slider. Select Zoom In to expand the selected HU range across the axis. This makes precise adjustments easier. Select Zoom Out to restore the default HU axis. Control how colors respond to changes in the tissue filter using Map Colors to Range. When enabled, the colors automatically redistribute across the selected HU range. When disabled, each color remains assigned to a fixed HU value. Narrowing the range may therefore hide some colors. Select Save Transfer Function to store the current color and transparency settings. Saved transfer functions appear in the preset list and can be applied by selecting their icons. Save the transfer function together with the tissue filter and AI segmentation settings, by creating an option preset in the Preset tab. To apply a preset, click its icon. Select Add Preset to save the current settings as a new preset. You can also save presets to your computer or remove them. Use the Quality tab to balance performance and rendering detail. Move the Quality slider to change the rendering quality for each dataset. Use it to ensure the best experience based on your device’s capabilities. Use Shadows to toggle the visibility of shadows created by the light sources. Select Add Light to place another light source around the model. Use its slider to adjust the intensity. You can add up to four additional lights to each model. Left-click and hold the sun to move it around the model, right-click and hold to change the distance between the model. Left-click to cycle between how intense the light is. Open the MPR tab to display the scan in the axial, coronal, and sagittal planes. Use the slice sliders to move through the images along each anatomical axis. Select Fit to return an image to its default size, or use Zoom In and Zoom Out to adjust its scale. Use Window to change the displayed range of grayscale values. Use Threshold to change the visible HU range.
