His military service as a musical messenger made him a well-known figure among Jewish communities. In the 1930s, he moved to London, where he served for 12 years as a cantor, and then moved to New York to serve as cantor at Temple Emmanuel. Although his brother Moshe was the most famous of the family, thanks to his impressive performances, the young Koussevitsky was special because of his creativity. He not only sang the existing works, but also composed and composed new pieces, which became an integral part of the cantorial repertoire. His works, which bear his personal style, show his special ability to innovate and create in religious music. Over time, David Koussevitsky became a symbol of modern cantorship, whose works continue to influence cantors and cantorists even today.
