What a week it’s been at Loddiswell Station!
As two fierce storms sweep through the valley, we take shelter and dive into rummaging through our railway treasure hoard. We uncover some incredible pieces of history - vintage railway lamps, classic enamel and cast signs, an old stove, and heaps of original railway track and rusty bolts.
Matt finally gets round to mending his rotovator. Once the weather settles, the calm doesn’t last long. Heading out across the grounds to assess the storm's aftermath, we discover a massive tree has come crashing down, leaving us with quite a bit of cleanup on our hands.
Join us for restoration, rummaging, and a bit of station drama!
Loddiswell Station sits on the old GWR Kingsbridge branch, known as the Primrose Line, in South Devon. We're slowly restoring the station and its grounds, and sharing the journey here.
🏡 The Signal Box is also our holiday let, sleeping 4. Find out more and check availability: https://www.loddiswellstation.co.uk
