To book a tour with me in Puerto Vallarta: newaudra@yahoo.com Today I’m hiking from the Puerto Vallarta sign on the Malecón all the way up to Mirador del Cerro de la Cruz, known in English as the Hill of the Cross Lookout. I follow Calle Abasolo through Centro, tackle the steep official staircase and finally reach one of the most spectacular panoramic views in Puerto Vallarta. From the top you can see the city, the coastline and the entire Bay of Banderas. Instead of returning the same way, I take the quieter back route down through the hillside neighbourhood of El Cerro. Stairs going up, a little adventure coming down and beautiful views all the way. The official route begins from the Malecón and follows Calle Abasolo toward the hill. Thanks for walking with me.
