Why I Still Work Two Jobs While Learning To Trade

No setup today, so no trade. I filmed this in the car before heading out to run deliveries, and I want to talk about the part of trading nobody makes videos about: where your rent comes from while you learn. I work gig delivery and a night job. Trading pays me nothing right now. And that's exactly why I was able to close my platform today without forcing something. Here's the thing most people don't want to hear. If you need this month's trades to cover this month's bills, you are not going to follow your rules. You'll take the marginal setup. You'll hold the loser. You'll size up to catch back up. Not because you're undisciplined, but because the pressure is real and it's coming from outside the chart. Questions worth sitting with: Do you have enough saved to sit through a drawdown without it changing how you trade? Drawdowns are not a maybe. They're a certainty. What happens if your setup doesn't appear for two or three weeks straight? Can you wait it out, or do you start inventing trades? Are you trading money you can genuinely afford to lose, or money that's already promised to something else? No trade breakdown today. Just food for thought from someone still building it.
