Fiordland, New Zealand December 2022 - Episode 2

On our third day in the south island of New Zealand, we'll be heading to Te Anau from Queenstown. Day 3 - We collect our campervan in the morning and check out at our hotel. Then, we start our adventure at the depot to stock up on food and supplies. It's around 3-4 hour drive from Queenstown to our campsite. Along the way, we do a few pit stops to immerse ourselves with the landscape. We stop the longest at Eglinton Valley, one of the many locations around New Zealand where the Lord of the Rings movie was filmed at. We arrive at Deer Flat Campsite by evening and enjoyed some downtime at our perfect spot beside the creek with a 360 degree view of the valley. Day 4 - We take our time in the morning after a long drive yesterday. Today we hike Lake Gunn nature walk which is an easy 30-45 minutes loop walk through the mossy forest and by the lake.
