A Faithful Soul (A Man’s Testimony)

“A Faithful Soul” is a personal song about my faith, my testimony, and my desire to remain true to what I believe. The scriptures have played an important role in my faith. I believe in the Book of Mormon as scripture from ancient North America, in the Bible, and in the Restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. These beliefs are more than ideas I have heard from others—they are things that have become deeply important to me personally. This song is about choosing to stay faithful even when that path may take a toll or when others may say “no.” It is also about finally having the opportunity, through music, to express some of what I believe from the bottom of my heart. I hope those who hear this song might be willing to learn about the things that have meant so much to me and discover for themselves what they believe. But ultimately, that choice belongs to each person. I will stay true. I’m a faithful soul.
