The Kharghar-Turbhe Tunnel Road project entails the construction of a 1.763 km-long tunnel on the proposed 5.490 km Kharghar-Turbhe Link Road (KTLR), with an estimated expenditure of INR 2,100 Crore. It is slated to be completed within four years from its commencement. The overall project includes a twin tunnel section spanning approximately 1.8 km under thi Kharghar hills and an elevated viaduct extending 3.4 km, featuring four lanes in both directions. The design incorporates two unidirectional tunnels to ensure optimal safety measures for commuters. It will start at Sion Panvel highway opposite Juinagar Railway Station, ending at the 30 m-wide existing road junction of Central Park and Gurudwara in Kharghar via Juinagar.
