WarCraft II Tides of Darkness 1v3 Gameplay

WarCraft II: Tides of Darkness 1v3 Defeat I got completely steam rolled this map, I knew 1-3 would be a challenge with the map layout and 2 avenues of approach. I decided to fortify my position with farms and guard towers and land troops. The defense did fairly well for several attacks but later in the game the amount of enemy troops was too overwhelming and with the catapult attacks and weak defense my army could not stand a change. What is your opinion on the gameplay?
