Something Is Coming - Official Lyric Video | Almost Alive

“Something Is Coming” is a dark, cinematic post-grunge song from Almost Alive’s upcoming album, “Headwinds” - built around the feeling that something is approaching and there is nothing you can do to stop it. It is the shadow before the event - something getting closer, growing larger, and beginning to affect everything around it. The song doesn’t explain what is coming. That uncertainty is part of it. It could be something outside of you, something inside of you, or simply the moment when you realize that life is about to move in a direction you can’t control. Musically, “Something Is Coming” leans into the darker, heavier side of Headwinds. A prominent bass line gives the song much of its weight, while gritty lower-register vocals, heavy guitars, and a slow-building sense of pressure create the feeling of something constantly moving closer. On the album, “Something Is Coming” leads directly into “Moon Come Down,” placing the two songs beside each other as part of the same dark, cinematic stretch of Headwinds. Where “Moon Come Down” turns that unease into something surreal and enormous, “Something Is Coming” is the warning before it arrives.
