Call of Duty Says It’s Fighting Cheaters... So WTF Is Going On?!

Call of Duty says it’s fighting cheaters, but MW4 players are trying to make sense of bans, unbans, and claims of false bans. Tonight we’re talking RICOCHET anti-cheat, reported cheater reinstatements, and legitimate players caught in the fallout. So WTF is going on?! Welcome in, Alpha Squad! 🤙 Hapa here. We paid to play Modern Warfare 4, not spend every night wondering whether the next player is cheating or whether the anti-cheat is getting its decisions right. Some players are getting their accounts back. Others are still locked out. We’re digging into reports of cheaters getting unbanned alongside players fighting bans they say were wrongful. Which cases have evidence behind them, what actually changed, and why are so many people still waiting for answers? A ban alone doesn’t settle every accusation. An unban doesn’t explain what happened either. And a cheat provider claiming its DMA cheats or ESP wallhacks are “undetected” is still a sales pitch, not proof. The frustration is simple: we want to enjoy MW4 without cheaters ruining matches and without legitimate players becoming collateral damage. RICOCHET is supposed to help make that possible. Right now, the conflicting outcomes are giving players even more reasons to question it. Jump into chat: • Have the bans and unbans changed your confidence in RICOCHET? • What evidence would convince you a ban was justified or wrongful? • Are your matches actually feeling cleaner? If your account was affected, tell us what the notice said, whether it was limited matchmaking, a temporary ban, or a permanent ban, and whether that status changed. Those details matter more than another “trust me, bro.” Bring your receipts, your frustration, and your squad. We’re talking through the controversy and getting into MW4 gameplay.
