Mexican composer Jose Luis Rodriguez wrote this happy song in 1966 which won an Emmy as well as a Gold and Platinum Award in Corpus Christi, Texas. This tune has become one of the most popular songs first recorded by Norteno group Los Pedernales and since then also recorded by many others.
