“Scarborough Fair” Into a Witch’s Curse | Dark Folk Song - Sadie St. Claire (Official Music Video)

A dark Southern Gothic reinterpretation of the traditional ballad Scarborough Fair. This version transforms the classic tale of impossible tasks and lost love into something far more dangerous—a story of a woman who didn’t just lose love… she reshaped it into something that lingers, grows, and refuses to let go. Lyrics: You ever try to love a woman… folks warned you not to? Are you goin’ down past Scarborough Fair? Parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme There’s a man there says he still knows me But he don’t know what I’ve become Tell him I ain’t the girl he knew… Not since the river turned black that June… Parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme He can try, but he won’t unwind Every root I buried deep in him Every spell tied up in vine If he wants me back again He can walk where the dead things bloom But he won’t make it out alive… Not with what I left in him Tell him stitch me a linen dress No seams, no needle, no thread Wash it clean in a dry well’s mouth Where the dirt don’t give back dead Tell him find me a field of thorns Turn it soft with his bare hands Then he might just earn a word from me… If he’s still a livin’ man Every promise got a price… Every love comes back twice… Parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme I still taste him in the pine Every curse I ever whispered low Still echoes down his spine If he wants me back again Let him dig through root and bone But he won’t make it out alive… Not from what I’ve grown He swore he’d love me gentle… didn’t he? I gave him honey… I gave him wine… I gave him every warning sign… Now he’s mine… he’s mine… Parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme Ain’t no mercy left this time Every prayer he sends up now Comes back twisted through my rhyme If he wants me back again He can follow where I roam But he won’t make it out alive… Boy, I made his heart my home Should’ve listened… sugar. ___ Album is available at Ko-Fi: https://ko-fi.com/s/2c26eee3e2 Streaming: Spotify - https://open.spotify.com/artist/3tJG7...
