1970(昭和45)年３月２８日撮影。recorded 28 March 1970. 初代十勝丸は四本煙突を持つ蒸気タービン船で、１９４８（昭和２３）年に就航しました。１９５４（昭和２９）年９月２６日に沈没しましたが、再就航し、１９７０（昭和４５）年３月３１日まで、青函連絡船の最後の蒸気船として活躍しました。TOKACHI-MARU the first was a steam turbine ship with four chimneys, and started the operation as a ferry boat at 1948. Although she sank at 26 Sep.1954, she was repaired again, and was operated as a last steamship on SEIKAN ferry until 31 March 1970. この８ミリ映画は国鉄に勤務していた熱心な鉄道マニアが記録した物です。関係者以外では撮影出来ない貴重映像が満載です。This 8mm cinema film was recorded by zealous train mania, who worked for JNR. it is full of rare footage that nobody can record without insider person.
