"CONNECTIONS" with Hema Yadav DESIGN AND ARCHITECTURE, UNFILTERED. “Welcome to Meet My Celebrities, the podcast where my very own student takes the spotlight as a true celebrity!” Every episodes of my Podcast is UNIQUE and SPECIAL to me in its own way because the voices, you’re about to hear belong to the students who are truly the absolute world to me, I had the privilege of teaching them back when they were just starting to figure out what line or a space could mean, and now seeing them navigate, thrive in Design and Architecture colleges, and shape their own journeys – it’s honestly overwhelming. “I remember when they were in 11th and 12th grade, so innocent and, in some cases, struggling just to pay their fees. Seeing how much they are thriving, growing and succeeding beautifully now is incredible, but I’ll always hold a special place in my heart for the innocence of those days – a beautiful quality that money can never buy. I miss the pure innocence of that time. In these episodes of “CONNECTIONS” we’re talking about what it’s really like TRANSITIONING into DESIGN and ARCHITECTURE. We’ll dive into the exact thoughts they had when starting preparation, who supported them, the dilemmas they faced in High School, and how their perspective has completely changed today. “Some of them have their Own Brands, while others are launching Internationally. Additionally, some have their own Architectural Firms, or work as a Data Analyst, Product Designers, Fashion Designers, Stylists, UI/UX Designers, Fashion Illustrators, Mentors, Graphic Designers, Game Designers – THE LIST IS LOOOONG!” You know as an Educator, you hope to leave a little bit of an impact, but the truth is, these guys have left the biggest mark on my life. They are my inspiration, they are my “WHY” and having them here on the podcast today to talk shop as peers is a full-circle movement I will cherish forever. So, today’s episode holds just as much as value as any other. SO, LET’S DIVE IN. We talk a lot about how mentors shape students. But nobody talks about the other way around. Teaching is never a one -way street; as my students grew, I grew right alongside them. Every question they asked, every mistake we fixed together and every challenge we faced changed “WHO AM I”. I am here because of my students. On paper, I was their teacher. But in reality? They were mine. They guided me, they challenge me, and they made me better. “TO THE STUDENTS WHO TAUGHT ME, HOW TO TEACH – THANKYOU”. "My core mission as a Mentor and Counsellor is to shift the perspective from Institutional Prestige to Individual Potential. I want to emphasize that while clear-cut paths like NID, NIFT, UCEED/IIT, or SPA are great milestones, they are not the only destinations. The real magic happens when a student aligns their career with their true creative dreams." In this episode, mentor Hema Yadav joined with Aditya from Presidency Bengalore. He will talk about his experiences, challenges, and lessons learned. Adding to this we will talk about “What kind of job opportunities will students from Design and Architecture Colleges get in the future?” They are discussing the specific problems and hurdles they encountered during their journey, explaining the important skills they learned and the steps they took to overcome difficulties. "Thank you so much Aditya for your incredible help with the podcast and supporting my design and architecture journey as a mentor." The conversation is meant to help and guide students who are entering Design and Architecture courses.
