Working on clearing my desk of some previous stamp sketches (I'm finding them everywhere). On this one, I did an example of what not to do when coloring but used the sample for a dramatic northern lights type of scenario. As always, with the dye based ink layering technique, it's all about the amount of ink used for the base layer (which is to use a lot of it and a re-inker makes that really fast and easy). From there, just work your curtains and remember to retain some light by not covering everything uniformly. In this case (what people usually try and avoid these days), streaks is exactly what you want. Marvy and Distress dye based inks Scotch-Brite sponge used to apply inks 4.25" x 5.5" Mohawk Everyday Digital White Coated Silk 100 Cover card stock.
