Drury and Paerātā - New Zealand’s Newest Railway Stations ~ 02/08/2026 (HD)

In early August 2026, the brand-new Drury and Paerātā railway stations were opened to the public. These stations are on the North Island Main Trunk, and served by 'AM' class electric multiple units on the 'Southern Line' (Britomart to Pukekohe) commuter service. As for why they were built in the first place, it was to serve growing resident developments in their respective areas. I was able to visit the new stations on their first day of opening to the public, with trains running every 20 minutes in each direction. Also rode aboard AM 428 from Drury to Paerātā, returning on the brand-new AM 1236 (one of the units built in Mexico).
